Lacivita to speak at cultural center
YOUNGSTOWN
The Brier Hill Cultural Center will host a talk by local author, historian and public speaker Michael Lacivita at 10 a.m. Saturday at the facility’s main hall, 145 Jefferson St.
During the program, Lacivita, author of “Rag Man, Rag Man,” will describe challenges involved in writing his first book and the importance of local history. Signed copies of Lacivita’s book will be available for purchase at the event, part of the BHCC’s monthly Brier Hill Breakfast Series.
At the beginning of the program, Mayor John McNally will present Lacivita with a city proclamation for his many years of civic contributions.
The program is open to the public with an admission fee of $5, which includes refreshments. Secured parking is available at the center.
