The following are upcoming book discussion topics at the Leetonia Community Public Library, 181 Walnut St.
The Nonfiction book group will discuss “Detroit: An American Autopsy” by Charlie LeDuff at 6 p.m. June 24. The book offers a portrayal of the city that was once the nation’s leader in manufacturing and now ranks among the highest for unemployment, illiteracy, dropouts and foreclosures.
The Classics group will read “Travels of Marco Polo” and meet at 6 p.m. June 26. Starting in 1271, Marco Polo traveled to China and many other fascinating places. On his return to the West, he was imprisoned and met Rustichello of Pisa, his collaborator on writing this book.
The AM Bookends Fiction group will discuss “Rainwater” by Sandra Brown at 10 a.m. July 2. The arrival of David Rainwater makes a great impact on the lives of Ella Barron’s boardinghouse in the Texas Dust Bowl during the Great Depression.
Sharon author gets published
SHARON, Pa.

Myers’ futuristic novel, “Stay on the Blue Grass,” is based on the hypnotic premise that problems of the world can be solved with something as simple as blue grass.

Children’s author sets book signing
NILES
Todd Bryarly, author of “Bruce The Fire Truck Helps His Sick Grandma,” will conduct a book reading and signing at Books-A-Million in Eastwood Mall on Saturday.
The story tells of Bruce the firetruck as he devotes a day helping his sick grandma with household chores he never tried before while making funny mistakes along the way. Bruce, with his good heart, helps his grandma feel better and enjoy a speedy recovery.
