AUSTINTOWN
Air Force Master Sgt. Dana M. (Miglets) Thompson has retired from the Air Force after serving for 15 years. Her last duty station was as the Independent Duty Medical Technician Program Manager with 86th Medical Squadron, Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany.
Thompson is the daughter of Mark Miglets and stepdaughter of Tina Tablack-Miglets of Youngstown, and daughter of Carolyn Brajer and granddaughter of Marilyn Brajer, both of Austintown.
A 1998 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School, she earned an associate degree in 2010 from Community College of the Air Force, Great Falls, Mont.

ACADEMY NEWS
Navy Ensign Sean M. Murphy, son of Dennis E. and Nancy A. Murphy of Smithfield, Va., recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the Naval Academy and was commissioned to his current rank.
Murphy is a 2010 graduate of Poland Seminary High School.
Navy Ensign James R. Zaken, son of James R. Walmsley of Hermitage, Pa., and Melanie M. Warnick of Glennallen, Alaska, was recently commissioned as a Naval officer.
