Young mom who died in Route 30 crash from Massillon

HANOVERTON

The Ohio State Highway Patrol identified the woman who died in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Route 30 as Kathlean Kennedy, 25, of Massillon.

The Friday accident at 2:27 p.m. near Mile Post 11 happened when Kennedy’s 2010 Ford Fusion, traveling westbound, crossed the center line and hit a 1998 Allegro motor home driven by Robert Lausted, 44, of Bronson, Texas, who was eastbound, the patrol said.

Kennedy’s 1-year-old daughter was in a child safety seat in the rear passenger side when the accident happened. The child was taken to Akron Children’s Hospital by medical helicopter and is listed in stable condition, the patrol said.
