An Oct. 5, 2013, ceremony at Mount Olivet United Church of Christ joined Michele Leigh Bloom and Daniel R. Sawonik in marriage. The Rev. Melinda Lacefield officiated at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony, and a reception took place at the B&O Banquet Center in Youngstown.
The couple reside in Russell Township, after a wedding trip to Las Vegas.
The bride is the daughter of Walter I. Bloom and Rita Ann Bloom of Poland, and the groom is the son of Ronald and Karen Sawonik of Auburn Township, Ohio.
The bride wore an off-the-shoulder full-length beaded silk gown with a train and a see-through veil.
Ashley Molnar served as maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Jamie Gemmel and Lexie Shanker. Their gowns were pink, blue and purple.
Michael Sawonik was the best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Michael Skinner and Rick Kusnic.
Serving as ushers were Rick Farr, Denny Farr and Kevin Farr, the groom’s uncles; and Josh Frye.
Mrs. Sawonik is a graduate of the University of Akron, where she received a degree in accounting. She is employed as a support analyst for MRI Software in Solon.
Mr. Sawonik attended the University of Akron, where he studied fire science. He is employed as an electric panel builder for Automation Services and Control in Chagrin Falls.
