Four Howland youth activities begin Monday

Four Howland Township Summer Youth Sport & Recreation programs will begin Monday.

Register for all three programs at the Howland Township Administration Building, 205 Niles-Cortland Road NE. For information, call 330-856-2340.

Beginning swimming and advanced swimming: 10 to 10:45 a.m. or 11 to 11:45 a.m. Monday through Thursday and June 16 to 19 at the Warren YMCA, 210 High Street NW. Bathing suit, towel, flip-flops and outfit for after swimming are required. Cost is $20 for Howland residents and $30 for nonresidents.

Fishing for children age 6 to 12: 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday at Howland Township Park. A fishing pole with hook, bobber and bait, athletic attire and shoes are required. Cost is $20 for Howland residents and $35 for nonresidents.

Painting and drawing for children age 6 to 13: 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday at Howland Middle School. An art box with glue, scissors and coloring supplies is required. Cost is $20 for Howland residents and $35 for nonresidents.

Pottery play at Trumbull Art Gallery, 347 North Park Avenue, Warren: 9 to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday and July 7 to 11. Cost is $20 for Howland residents and $30 for nonresidents.
