Columbiana GOP retains Johnson chairman

LISBON

Columbiana County Republicans re-elected David Johnson to another four-year term as party chairman.

Johnson was first elected in 1989, and has served ever since except for 2002 to 2005, when he didn’t seek the position.

The party voted Thursday to keep Johnson chairman.

The party also voted to purchase the Dorance Building in downtown Lisbon that’s housed the county GOP headquarters for the past 25 years.
