UPDATE | Deliberations continue in Aubrey Toney trial

YOUNGSTOWN — Deliberations will continue Saturday if jurors fail today to arrive at a verdict in the trial of Aubrey Toney, who is charged with aggravated murder of Thomas Repchic and the wounding of his wife, Jacqueline, in September 2010.

Toney could face the death penalty if convicted.

Jurors began deliberations at 9 a.m. today and after a lunch break, they still had not reached a verdict as of 5 p.m.

Judge Maureen A. Sweeney said if they fail to reach a verdict today, they will be sequestered overnight, and will return to the courthouse at 8 a.m. Saturday.
