Museum will offer spring open house
YOUNGSTOWN
Youngstown Steel Heritage Musuem will have its annual Spring Open House from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at its exhibition hall, 2261 Hubbard Road.
David Tod, descendent of the Valley’s pioneer Tod family, will answer questions on the 250-ton Tod Engine. This is the 100th anniversary of the engine, which once powered most area steel mills.
Rick Rowlands, founder and director of the museum foundation, will give presentations on the museum’s collections. Preliminary capital campaign plans will be unveiled.
There is no charge, but donations will be accepted. Light refreshments will be served.
