ASSOCIATIONS

Mahoning Valley Amateur Radio Association will feature Mike Krake from Generator Specialists when it meets Thursday at the main branch of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County, at the intersection of Wick and Rayen avenues. He will present a program on the use of electric generators. The meeting is free and open to the public.

NARFE Chapter 14 will meet for its monthly luncheon at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Austintown. Tri-Gold Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association will meet June 11 at A La Cart in Canfield. A social will be at 5:30 p.m., and dinner will be at 6. The cost is $19. The menu consists of Swiss chicken, pasta and meatballs, kielbasa and sauerkraut, oven-baked potatoes, blended vegetables, salad, rolls, dessert and beverage. AUXILIARIES

St. Elizabeth Health Center Auxiliary will meet at noon Monday in the private dining room at St. Elizabeth’s, Belmont Avenue, Youngstown. The speaker will be Desirie Santangelo on the topic of palliative care.

CLASSES

Campbell Memorial Class of 1955 will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at What’s Cook’n in the Mathews Road Plaza in Boardman for its monthly breakfast. Class members, spouses and guests are welcome.

Woodrow Wilson High School January and June Classes of 1947 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Denny’s in Boardman. Members of the classes of 1946 and 1948 also are welcome.

CLUBS

Daughters of the American Revolution, Mahoning Chapter, will meet at noon Monday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. William Whitehouse will speak on the history of the Ford Nature Center. The chapter’s newly published cookbooks will be available for sale. A basket auction is planned; members are reminded to take items for the sale. Metaphysical Insights 528 will present Rick Shale on “Idora Park Memories” when it meets Wednesday at the S.C.O.P.E. Building, 220 W. Market St., Warren. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the program begins at 7. Admission is $5 at the door. Shale wrote “Idora Park: The Last Ride of Summer” (co-authored with Charles J. Jacques, Jr.). Shale will sign copies of his book.

Transcendental Group will have its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Park Vista North, Apt. 503, 1310 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. The meeting will feature a film and discussion of the philosophy and artwork of Nicholas Roerich, an artist and Nobel Peace Prize nominee of the early 20th Century. It is free and open to the public.
