Youth camp to begin June 16

The Canfield Wrestling Staff and high school student-athletes will host a youth wrestling camp for students in grades K-8 June 16-19 from 9 a.m. until noon in the Canfield wrestling room. The cost is $50 per athlete pre-registered or $60 per athlete on the day of camp. Make checks payable to Canfield Wrestling Club. The pre-registration deadline is June 10. The Canfield boys’ varsity basketball team will be hosting Cardinal Camp June 25-27 at Canfield Village Middle School for all boys entering grades 3-8 for the 2014-15 School Year. The cost is $45 and registration fliers are available online at www.mmuck7.weebly.com. Registration forms are also available at all Canfield Local School Main Offices and in the Athletic Office at Canfield High School.

Neighbors wants summer sports news

It’s spring sports season. Neighbors wants to be there every step of the way. If you’re a summer sports coach or the parent of an athlete, we need you help. In order to get teams and players the recognition they deserve, we want to showcase them in our pages. We can only do that if you commit to sending us game reports and photos each week. If you send it, it will get in.

When emailing pictures, send them as JPEG files as large as possible. Provide caption information and where people are located from left to right, front row to back. The sports news we’re looking for ranges from varsity high school teams down to middle school and even elementary and recreational leagues.
