Man faces charges
YOUNGSTOWN
A Hunter Street man is in Mahoning County jail on a charge he assaulted a Humility of Mary Health Partners police officer in the emergency room at St. Elizabeth Health Center about 8:30 p.m. Monday.
Reports said Derrick Tillman, 50, shoved an officer into a computer and X-ray tray when he was escorted out of the emergency room. Reports said Tillman was being treated in the emergency room and refused to leave when the treatment was finished.
The officer who was shoved had a cut on his forearm and a bruise on his back.
Tillman was arraigned Wednesday in Youngstown Municipal Court on charges of resisting arrest, obstructing official business and assault on a police officer as well as a failure-to-appear warrant.
6 accused of tossing aerosol cans into fire
NEW MIDDLETOWN
Six people will be arraigned in mayor’s court later this month after police found them Tuesday evening throwing aerosol cans into a fire, which caused explosions at an address on Main Street.
The six, who were all issued citations, are Ian Fox, 20; Tyler Nicula, 19; Enrique Serrano, 20; Stephen Hosky, 22; John Dominick, 24; and Keith Richards, 21.
A news release did not say what the charges are. The village fire department was called to put out the fire.
