Large tree stalls Youngstown firefighters from battling blaze

YOUNGSTOWN — Fire reports say a large tree that had fallen blocked access for firefighters trying to get inside a 628 W. Dewey Ave. home about 3:20 a.m. Wednesday.

Reports said some crews managed to get inside through a back door while saws were used to cut a wall out on the front porch so other crews could get inside.

Reports said someone spread a flammable liquid in a back room to start the fire. It has been ruled an arson. Damage is listed $500.
