Drug charges

WARREN

Police have arrested a 31-year-old city man in connection with a two-month investigation of a house at 382 Comstock Ave. NW, where drugs worth more than $20,000 were confiscated Monday.

Colin Foster of Clermont Street Northeast is in the Trumbull County jail, facing drug-trafficking and drug-possession charges.

A 55-year-old man who lives at the Comstock address was arrested on warrants during the raid, which was carried out by the Warren Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit and the Tactical Entry Team.

Police recovered about 100 grams of heroin, two digital scales, packaging material, a substance used to “cut” (add bulk to) heroin, a hydraulic press and hand press that can be used to “re-rock” drugs after they have been “cut,” and $120 in cash.

Police still are attempting to get inside a gun safe at the residence to determine what is inside.

Traffic light fixed

BOARDMAN

The traffic signal at the intersection of U.S. Route 224 and Market Street (state Route 7) was out for a time Monday afternoon.

Brent Kovacs, public-information officer for the Ohio Department of Transportation, said crews repaired the light that was on flashing red late Monday afternoon. Details on what caused the problem were unavailable. Kovacs, however, reminded drivers that if they face a flashing red light to treat it as a four-way stop.
