Staff report
YOUNGSTOWN
Jurors seated for the trial of a man accused of a 2010 murder heard from city police crime-lab personnel and Dr. Joseph Ohr, the Mahoning County forensic pathologist and deputy coroner.
Crime-lab members told jurors Tuesday in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court about the evidence they collected at the scene Sept. 25, 2010, where Thomas Repchic, 74, was shot and killed and his wife Jacqueline, then 74, was wounded.
Aubrey Toney, 33, is charged with the crime and could face the death penalty if convicted of Thomas Repchic’s murder. He claims he was nowhere near the area the day of the shootings.
Testimony resumes at 9 a.m. today.
