Boy Scouts honor longtime leaders at fundraising breakfast
CANFIELD — The value of Boy Scouts of America’s Scoutreach Program in a Youngstown’s Williamson Elementary School were extolled by its principal, and deceased longtime adult scout leaders were honored at today’s June 3 Whispering Pines ninth annual Friends of Scouting Breakfast.
The breakfast, a fundraising event, was at Camp Stambaugh, 3712 Leffingwell Road, Canfield.
Williamson Principal Wanda Clarke said the Scoutreach program is making a positive impact on the students, school and the community.
Three men, all of whom died this year, that were recognized were: Robert I. Zedaker Jr., George L. Grim, and John D. Wolboldt.
