Guardsmen ID'ed who were injured in Braceville crash

BRACEVILLE — The names of the 10 Ohio Army National Guardsmen injured in a 6 p.m. Sunday crash have been released by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Twelve people were injured altogether, and about half were released from area hospitals, the patrol said this afternoon. Some of the injuries were serious, such as broken bones, the patrol said.

The Guardsmen are Jamie L. Arthur of Mansfield; Jarad D. Dwight of Grand Forks, N.D.; Anthony A. Fuller of Houston; Samual D. Miguritz of Grayling, Mich.; Kile A. Markel of Columbus; Kile W. Miracle of Mansfield; Nicholas L. Rockey of Scranton, Pa.; Joktan J. Smith of Butler, N.C.; Jason A. Woodall of Brookpark; and Joshua A. Zuckero of Greenville, Tenn., the driver of the van.

Zuckero had been stopped at the traffic light, preparing to head north on Route 534 to return to Camp Ravenna.

He proceeded north when the light turned green, and the van was struck on the side by a semi tractor-trailer driven by Larry Nash, the patrol said. Nash was not injured.

In addition to the Guardsmen, two people in another vehicle driven by Samuel Bylch also were injured.

Charges have not been filed, and the patrol continues its investigation.
