Talmer deposits fail
WARREN
City employees who missed getting direct deposit of their pay into their bank accounts Friday should get their direct deposits by Monday, according to a Talmer Bank official. A Talmer spokesman told 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator’s broadcast partner, a payroll-processing error caused the problem. He said deposits were made Friday for those with Talmer accounts, but customers of other banks wouldn’t be paid on time.
Talmer said it is working with city officials on a way to cover overdraft fees other banks might charge due to insufficient funds.

Crane blocks SR 616
COITSVILLE
An overturned crane truck blocked traffic on a portion of state Route 616, between Oak Street and McGuffey Road, for several hours Friday afternoon. Dan DeLuca — a trooper with the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Canfield Post, which is investigating the one-vehicle accident — said the truck was traveling with an oversized load and tried to move out of the way of oncoming traffic, but ended up overturning into a ditch at about 11 a.m. Friday. Because of the “size of the truck and the location,” crews didn’t manage to clear the roadway until 4:30 p.m., DeLuca added. The driver was not injured.
