Fundraising continues for W. Reserve memorial

Staff report

WARREN

The Warren Western Reserve Memorial Committee has been raising funds to construct a lasting memorial to honor the academic, athletic and community contributions made by the students, faculty and staff of Warren Western Reserve High School to preserve the historical merit of Raider Pride throughout the community.

The Warren Western Reserve Memorial Committee will use the property facing south of the Warren G. Harding facade for construction of a Warren Western Reserve High School Memorial Park.

Plans for the memorial park include a bricked courtyard setting featuring a life-size bronze Raider statue with benches around the perimeter.

Memorial bricks, class sponsored benches and gold sponsorships will be available for sale to help complete project funding.

For information, contact Mark Clawges, 330-393-7999, Sharleen Hume Johnson, 724-947-3014, or e-mail inquiries to WesternReserveRadiers@gmail.com.

There also will be a Raider Tent at the upcoming Italian-American Heritage Festival that will have information as well.
