Events set at Mercer Co.'s Munnell Run Farm

MERCER, PA.
Munnell Run Farm, 753 Greenville Road, will host two hands-on events this month.
A basket-weaving series with guest artisan Lynn Croskey Peterson is set for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 11 and 28. Guests will weave a casserole basket.
Croskey Peterson is an artisan who has experience with a variety of weaving styles with reeds and grasses.
Participants should bring a pencil, scissors, a lunch, ruler and a casserole dish (round or 9x13).
Registration is requested by Monday for the June 11 session and by June 16 for the June 28 session. Cost is $15.

The farm, in conjunction with guest artisan Lauren Sheridan, will host a program that will let guests explore their creative, artistic side through painting.
Sheridan has a bachelor’s degree in art education and a master’s degree in education. She will teach guests to paint an 11-by-14-inch canvas with a likeness of roses in a vase during a 21/2-hour session June 16.
No art experience is required, and all materials will be provided, although guests are welcome to bring their own paint brushes.
The program will be at Munnell Run Farm and will start at 6 p.m. and end about 8:30.
