Jillian Beth Novak and Brandon John Knittle were united in marriage in a 4 p.m. ceremony May 31 at Hawthorne Valley Country Club, officiated by Bob Matousek.

The bride is the daughter of Debra Sabo of Strongsville and Dr. Michael Novak of Brecksville.

The groom is the son of John and Jan Knittle of Boardman.

The bride graduated from Penn State University with a degree in wildlife and fisheries science. She is a senior investigator for the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District in Cleveland.

The groom graduated with a degree in finance from John Carroll University. He earned a master’s in business administration from Cleveland State University. He is a manager of debt and treasury for the sewer district in Cleveland.

Jenny Rogaliner and Julee Welchko, the bride’s sisters, were her honor attendants. Jaimie Knittle, the groom’s sister, and Leah Cox were bridesmaids. Flower girl was Maija Welchko, niece of the bride.

Best man was Greg Ensley, and groomsmen were Ted Motheral, Rob Stircula and Jonathan Novak, brother of the bride.

The ring bearer was Mason Welchko, nephew of the bride.
