Easy Street show planned

YOUNGSTOWN

“Nashville Comes Home: a Songwriters Showcase,” featuring four Youngstown natives who are pursuing music careers in Nashville, will be the first show in the upcoming Studio Session series presented by Easy Street Productions.

The show will include Tommy Cole, Katy Collins, Jordan DePaul and Tom Manche. It will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Easy Street’s performance space at 865 Mahoning Ave.. An article in Tuesday’s Vindicator gave an incorrect date.

Tickets are $20, and table seating is very limited. This is a BYOB event and not recommended for children. Setups and light snacks are included, with hors d’oeuvres also available for purchase.

Battle of the Burgers

The Mahoning Valley Burger Review Board will present the Mahoning Valley Battle of the Burgers on Saturday and Sunday at Warren Community Amphitheatre, 321 Mahoning Ave. NW.

Admission to the Mr. Speed (KISS tribute band) concert at the venue Saturday is $7. The burger judging starts at 6 p.m. that day and is free with a ticket purchase. Gates open at 5 p.m. and the band performs at 7.

Special guests are Tommy Christmas and the crew of “Fat N’ Furious: Rolling Thunder” TV show. They will serve as burger judges in the contest.

The admission for Sunday — Family Day — is $2 for adults and $1 for teens. Children 12 and under get in free. An amateur karaoke competition is scheduled. A burger-eating contest will be after the competition, and the winners of the best-burger contest will be announced.
