FOOD SALES AND DINNERS


FRIDAY

Canfield Lions Club will have a fish fry from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. Meals include a choice of baked or fried fish; french fries, macaroni and cheese, pirogi or haluski; and coleslaw, green beans, roll, dessert and beverage. The cost is $11.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

SATURDAY

VFW Post 6488 will serve a breakfast from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the post home, 2065 Coitsville-Hubbard Road, Youngstown. The menu consists of eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, home fries, pancakes, biscuits, coffee and juice. Donations are $7 for all you can eat.

SUNDAY

VFW Post 2799 will serve a home-style breakfast sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary from 8 a.m. to noon. The costs are $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12 years old. The menu consists of eggs, hash browns, sausage or ham, pancakes or freedom toast, toast and coffee or tea.

MONDAY

Canfield United Methodist Church will host a ham loaf dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Included will be au gratin potatoes, vegetable, applesauce, beverages and pie. The cost is $9 for dine-in or carryout.

TAKING ORDERS

Saxon Culture Group’s semiannual sausage sale will offer 3- and 5-pound packages of large links in mild, hot and Saxon-recipe garlic flavors and 5-pound packages of bulk in all flavors. The cost is $3.50 per pound. Orders should be picked up from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Youngstown Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown. Phone orders to 330-718-0496 by Sept. 9.
