Casal Aveda Institute Annual Scholarship Contest will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. Aug. 17 at the Davis Center in Mill Creek Park.

The institute will award two full paid scholarships, one for managing cosmetology and the other for managing esthiology.

The deadline to submit an application is Aug. 1. Once applicants are chosen to compete as contestants they are responsible to take a model to the Davis Center Aug. 17. Contestants will be given three hours to complete the model’s hair and makeup.

Contestants will be judged by local salon owners and stylists, as well as global artists and Aveda representatives.
