Mobile Audiology Clinic to return

YOUNGSTOWN

Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center’s new Mobile Audiology Clinic, which treated its first patients at the Youngstown VA Outpatient Clinic, 2031 Belmont Ave., last week, will return in several weeks to treat more veterans with hearing problems.

Staffed with two audiologists, the mobile clinic travels to several northern Ohio VA Community Based Outpatient Clinics delivering audiology services where none previously were available. The mobile clinic is expected to be at each location for four days each week.

The mobile clinic features an audio booth and equipment that allows the audiologists to perform complete hearing evaluations, hearing-aid fittings, and post-fitting appointments. It also is equipped with a generator and wheelchair lift.

For an appointment, veterans should call their local VA Outpatient Clinic.
