Five people were indicted Thursday as suspects in a May street fight in Struthers.

Indicted by a Mahoning County grand jury on charges of aggravated riot, a fourth-degree felony and riot, a misdemeanor, were Michael D. Hawkins, 18, of Creed Street in Struthers; Dominique King, 23, of Hood Drive in Canfield; Michael A. Koziorynsky, 19, of Fifth Street in Struthers; Johnathan T. Ward, 18, of Neilson Avenue; and Dominic Feliciano, 19, of Roy Street in Struthers.

Another person has been charged through juvenile court, said Struthers police Detective Jeffrey Lewis.

Lewis said the five were involved in a fight on Fifth Street on May 14. He said the trouble started earlier in the day when Koziorynsky was in an altercation with a female, and then he and a group of people prearranged to fight.

Lewis said he does not know what sparked the initial altercation.

The group came to a local store on Fifth Street to look for Koziorynsky but instead they ended up in the street. Koziorynsky threw one person through a window, and a report said one person came to the fight with a gun.

Lewis said officers who responded did not find a gun on any of the participants.

Someone took cellphone video of the fight, which Lewis was able to view after he got a search warrant.

Charges are pending against a woman who was involved as well, Lewis said.
