Campbell police investigate 2 burglaries
CAMPBELL
City police responded to two reports of burglaries late Monday.
About 5:30 p.m., a 45-year-old resident of a home in the 300 block of 12th Street told police he left for work about 7 a.m. and returned to find numerous items missing from his home. Those items included several televisions, computers, video game systems and games, a digital camera, and $500 in cash. Police noticed that the home's side door had been forced open, and that several fingerprints were visible on it.
Just a few hours later, shortly before 11 p.m., an 89-year-old resident of a home in the 10 block of Third Street told police her television had just been stolen. Police observed that the person who stole the television likely entered the home through an unlocked first-floor window, but weren't able to find anyone still in the area.
Both incidents remain under investigation.
