Heritage Day is coming to Niles

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR The Niles Historical Society will celebrate Heritage Day from noon to 5 p.m. Aug. 3 at the Ward Thomas House, 503 Brown St. Demonstrations and displays will include spinning, chair caning and basket weaving. Heather Merritt will present her Birds in Flight show. She specializes in rehabilitating wildlife, especially birds of prey, and she will have animals with her. Music, food and crafts, as well as games for children, also will be featured. Members of the Heritage Day committee are, from left, Joyce Mahan, Mary Ann McMahon, Sandy Bilovesky and Nancy Malone.
