These streets will be closed Thursday through Sunday due to the Our Lady of Mount Carmel festival: Mount Carmel Avenue at Watt Street and East Wood Street at Watt Street. These streets are closed to accommodate the festival traffic.

These roads in Mill Creek MetroParks will be closed on Sunday from approximately 6 to 10 a.m. for the YMCA Adult/Youth Triathlon: Price Road, West Glacier Drive, West Drive, Bears Den Drive, New Cross Drive, Cross Drive, West Cohasset Drive, High Drive, Chestnut Hill Drive, East Park Drive, Valley Drive, Old Furnace Road, East Glacier Drive, Memorial Hill Drive and Robinson Hill Drive.

Assaulted at park

WARREN

A 68-year-old Warren man reported being assaulted and knocked unconscious by two males while he was using the restroom at Packard Park at 2:10 p.m. Saturday.

The man said he had been feeding the squirrels and went into a park restroom, where two males demanded his money, then struck him in the head above his eye with an unknown object, causing a severe laceration.

The man said he woke up on the floor and drove home, where police interviewed him. The man was going to have his son drive him to the hospital.

Cameras on display

WARREN

Vintage cameras from the 1900s to 1988 are on display at the Sutliff Museum now through the end of August. Ranging from antique Brownie box cameras to a 1950s Argus, the exhibit includes models Jack Susko has collected in the past 15 years. Six varieties of Brownies show the progression in development of the popular camera. A Polaroid Land Camera with the Electric Eye is exhibited, along with the Kodak Instant Camera. A professional wedding photographer’s Graflex includes the flash attachment. A Honeywell Strobonar flash is included with a 1974 J.C. Penney single-lens-reflex camera. The Sutliff Museum is free and open to the public from 2 to 4 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday. Operated by the Warren Library Association, it is free and handicapped accessible.
