HUBBARD
A Scott Street man has been charged with 10 felony counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, according to Hubbard police.
Detective Sgt. David Oaks said Eric Filicky, 26, downloaded videos and pictures of children under 16 from the Internet onto his computer from last October until the present time.
Oaks said Filicky was caught by an Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation agent who uses the computer to find child-pornography users.
He was arraigned in Girard Municipal Court Monday afternoon. He is in Trumbull County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bond, and is to appear in Girard Court again at 1 p.m. Wednesday for a preliminary hearing, Oaks said. His case is expected to be transferred to Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.

The official grand opening of the Touch the Moon Candy Saloon in the caf area of East Library, 430 Early Road, is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday. Child hit by car
GIRARD
A child was hit by a car on East Second Street after she rode her bicycle through the intersection at Stewart Avenue without stopping at the stop sign, Girard police report. Ayleen Morar, 8, of Browns Court was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center after the accident at 9:10 p.m. Friday. An update on her condition was unavailable Monday.
Manor Show series
CANFIELD
The Manor Show Place Series begins at 8 p.m. Aug. 8 at the Manor, 3104 S. Canfield-Niles Road. The series starts with vocalist Tania Grubbs, a native of Salem now residing in Pittsburgh. The music will range from Cole Porter to Carole King, and Grubbs will be joined by guitarist Teddy Pantelas, bassist Jeff Grubbs and pianist Rock Wehrmann. Admission is $20 for the show and $40 for dinner from a three-course limited menu prepared by Chef Ron George. Dinner will be served between 6 and 8 p.m. The event is cabaret seating and reservations must be paid by Aug. 5. Call 330-318-8060.
Clothing drive planned
LEETONIA
Leetonia is hosting a community clothing drive from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Aug. 16 at Leetonia Community Public Library, 181 Walnut St. Participants can drop off clean, usable donations by Aug. 10 at these area churches: St. Paul’s Lutheran, 330-427-6585; St. Patrick Catholic, 330-427-6577; Robbins United Methodist, 330-427-6856; St. Jacobs United Church of Christ, 330-424-3087 and Leetonia Mennonite, 330-427-6827. Call the churches for convenient days and times to drop off the clothes. Also, volunteers will be needed to bring the clothes to the library Aug. 16 and help display them, as well as to take away the leftovers Aug. 18.

Golf-scramble benefit

Friday is the deadline to register for the third annual Dannete and Sean Lyden Memorial Golf Scramble, a benefit event for Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), scheduled for Aug. 2 at Lakeside Golf Course, 2404 SE River Road, Lake Milton. The event has helped the Lydens of Boardman raise nearly $40,000 in honor of their daughter, Aubrey, who died of SMA on Easter Sunday 2011 before reaching her first birthday.
