Beatitude House collecting school supplies for disadvantaged children


YOUNGSTOWN — Beatitude House is collecting school supplies for the homeless and disadvantaged children in the Valley.

Needed items include school uniforms; red or white polo shirts; navy, khaki or black pants; red, navy, black or white cardigan sweaters with no logos or brand names on the outside; socks and underwear. Sizes from preschool to adult are needed.

Also needed are classroom supplies such as folders, three-ring binders, flash drives, notecards, book covers, assignment books, calculators, scissors, highlighters, rulers, pencil boxes, tissues, hand sanitizer, paper towels, sandwich size and large ziplock baggies, and sanitizing wipes.

Items can be brought to the administrative offices, 238 Tod Lane, on the grounds of St. Edward Church. Donations are accepted from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. All items must be received by Aug. 6.
