STRUTHERS

The Titans scored nine times in the seventh inning. Chris Perez took the loss for Rudzik. He struck out nine and walked four. Ray Scala led Rudzik with three hits, including a double. Kip DeShields belted a two-run homer while Don Colucci hit a two-run double and scored a run. Paul Torok had two hits and scored a run while Perez contributed three hits.

Longhorns 11, DuraEdge 10

STRUTHERS

Andy Sodergren led the way for DuraEdge with three hits, four RBIs and two runs scored. Jake Walters had two hits and an RBI while Mike Grazier hit an RBI double and scored twice. Phil Fusco and Nathan Sommers each had a hit and scored twice.

Creekside 11, PAL Rangers 0

KNOXVILLE, TENN.

Nick Bianco threw a three-hit shutout in the tournament semifinal. Creekside scored nine runs in the first inning to cruise. Jared Fabry, Blake Benyo and Anthony Longo each had two hits while Garrison Wieland and Antonio Page had a double and two RBIs each.

KNOXVILLE

Winning pitcher Longo gave up one run in six innings in the championship game. Jon Faber earned the save with a bases-loaded strikeout to end the game. Weiland, Bianco, Benyo, Page and Johnnie Mikos had key hits.

KALAMAZOO, MICH.

Dylan Gurski and Jake Fonderlin combined on a two-hit shutout at the intermediate regional tournament. Fonderlin tripled and scored three runs while Travis Harvey tripled and scored twice. Michael O’Horo doubled while Cameron Kreps scored twice. Today, Boardman plays Illinois in a losers bracket game in the double-elimination tournament. Saturday, Boardman lost to Iowa, 9-4.
