Theresa Ruth Mottle of Boardman and Thomas Christopher Smith of Poland exchanged wedding vows on June 28 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. The Rev. Gregory Maturi officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony. A reception followed at the Davis Center in Mill Creek Park.

George and Deborah Mottle of Boardman are the parents of the bride, and Gerald and Susan Smith of Poland are the parents of the groom.

After a wedding trip to Maroma Beach, Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple reside in Poland.

The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in integrated language arts secondary education and a master’s degree in English with a certificate in literature for children and young adults. She teaches English at Poland Seminary High School.

The groom also graduated from YSU. He earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing management and is general manager of Springfield Grille-Mercer, Pa., for Springfield Restaurant Group.

The bride wore a white strapless, slim-fitted gown featuring a sweetheart neckline, English netting and embroidered lace applique throughout the gown. It was completed with a sweep train.

Sherry Karis was matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Angela Speece Morra; Jennifer DiLisio, the bride’s cousin; Bette Morar; Jessica Yanchick, the groom’s cousin; and Gabriella Yuhasz, the bride’s cousin. Cousin of the bride, Kaitlyn Yuhasz, was flower girl. The attendants wore lavender chiffon dresses.

David Rispinto performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Jeffrey Smith, the groom’s brother; Matthew DiLisio, the bride’s cousin; Dale Haag; Christopher Martin; and Dillon Marx, the bride’s cousin. Cousins of the bride, Rocco and Gino DiLisio, were the ring bearers.
