Louks-Waigand engagement is announced

Rebecca Louks and Matthew Waigand, both of Chillicothe, Ohio, are announcing their engagement along with their parents.

Her parents are Dawn and Russell Louks of Houghton, Mich., and his parents are Mary Ann and Paul Waigand of Boardman.

The couple will exchange wedding vows at 5 p.m. Aug. 30 at Jergensen Farms in Westerville, Ohio, where a reception will follow. Invitations have been issued for both.

The bride-elect earned a bachelor’s degree in communications technology from Eastern Michigan University and a juris doctorate from the University of Toledo College of Law. She is a partner with Oths, Heiser and Miller LLC in Wellston, Ohio.

Her fianc graduated from the University of Miami with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and received a juris doctorate from the University of Toledo College of Law. He is a staff attorney for the Fourth District Court of Appeals in Portsmouth, Ohio.
