IGS CNG Services’ sixth public compressed natural- gas fueling station will open at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The newest station in the greater Youngstown area is at the Mr. Fuel Station on Salt Springs Road just off of Interstate 80 exit 226 in Girard.

“The first of its kind in Mahoning Valley, the station will service a growing number of Ohio businesses and citizens who are converting to natural-gas vehicles as a way to save money and use a clean, Ohio fuel,” a release from IGS says.

Huntington Bancshares Inc. reported 2014 second-quarter net income of $165 million, an increase of $14 million, or 9 percent, from the 2013 second quarter and an increase of $15 million, or 10 percent, from the 2014 first quarter. Earnings per common share were $0.19, an increase of $0.02 from both the year-ago and prior quarters.

The White House Rural Council will host the inaugural Rural Opportunity Investment conference next week to promote potential investment opportunities that exist throughout rural America.

The two-day conference will take place Wednesday and Thursday in Washington. Top leaders from the business community and financial institutions, senior government officials, economic-development experts and others from across the country will come together to discuss potential investments in rural business and infrastructure projects in rural communities.

Kia recalls 52,000 Soul small SUVs

Kia is recalling nearly 52,000 Soul small SUVs to fix a problem that can cause steering failure.

The recall covers vehicles from the 2014 model-year built from July 21, 2013, through Jan. 17, 2014.

The Korean automaker says a plug that secures a pinion gear to the steering assembly can loosen and cause the gear to separate. That can cause a driver to lose steering and increase the risk of a crash.

Kia says in documents filed with U.S. safety regulators that it has three warranty claims and no reports of crashes or injuries due to the problem.

Dealers will replace the plug and apply thread-locking adhesive at no cost to owners. The recall is expected to start this month.

New Kindle service

Amazon is rolling out a new subscription service that will allow unlimited access to thousands of electronic books and audiobooks for $9.99 a month in the online giant’s latest effort to attract more users.

The largest U.S. e-commerce site said Friday that the Kindle Unlimited service will give users the ability to read as much as they want from more than 600,000 Kindle titles such as “The Hunger Games” and “Diary of a Wimpy Kid.” They also can listen as much as they like to thousands of Audible audiobooks, including “Water for Elephants.”
