Westminster college concerts will include America

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.

Westminster College’s 2014-15 Celebrity Series will include a concert by soft-rock band America and Christmas with the Tenors.

All shows are at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. Season subscriptions are now on sale, and single-show tickets may be pre-ordered. Here is the schedule:

Oct. 4: America, the folky band whose hits include “Horse With No Name” and “Sister Golden Hair.”

Nov. 15: The Hit Men, the former stars of the Four Seasons, including Gerry Polci, the voice of hit song “Oh What a Night.”

Dec. 9: Christmas with the Tenors, a quartet that is also known as the Canadian Tenors. The act will showcase some of the season’s most popular songs.

March 7: Women of Ireland, a St. Patrick’s Day celebration of Ireland’s best dancers and performers.

April 25: Neil Berg’s 100 Years of Broadway, featuring stars performing songs from the most beloved Broadway musicals of the past 100 years.

A special children’s show, the Berenstain Bears, is slated for May 27 and is not part of the season subscription.
