RELIGIOUS GROUPS

Youngstown South Christian Women’s Connection will meet for a luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Aug 13 at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. The program will be “A Glowing Summer” featuring Breakaway Tours by Charlene Troggio and Chris LaCivita. Music will be by Bob Antos, and the guest speaker will be Carol Reese of Erie, Pa., on “Life’s sudden wake-up calls.” The cost is $13 and includes lunch. Reservations must be made by Aug. 6. D.A.R.E. Singles Group, which meets at Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman, has planned the following: 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, music at Woodworth Park; 7:30 p.m. Thursday, game night at the church; July 25, movie night behind Poland Library at dusk.

SUPPORT GROUPS

Alzheimer Network Family Support Group has planned the following: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Emmanuel Lutheran Education Building, 251 S. Broadway Ave., Salem. These meetings are free and open to all caregivers and family members of a loved one living with Alzheimer’s or other form of dementia. For information call 330-788-9755.

Alzheimer’s Association Caregiver Support Group will meet at 2 p.m. Monday at Antonine Sisters Adult Cay Center, 2675 N. Lipkey Road, North Jackson; and at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Canfield United Methodist Church, 27 S. Broad St., Canfield.

Park Vista of Youngstown will have its regular meeting of the Caregiver Support Group at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Park Vista Private Dining Room, 1216 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. The group provides information and support to those caring for loved ones going through any disease process. Connie Morgan, Park Vista’s director of social services, and Diana Hartwig, Park Vista social worker, will facilitate the group. It is open to all caregivers in the Mahoning Valley.
