FOOD SALES AND DINNERS


THURSDAY

Woodworth Church of the Brethren, 30 E. Western Reserve Road, Boardman, will offer beef-tips-and-noodles dinners from 2:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out for takeout only. Dinners are $8 and include corn, a roll with butter and a homemade cookie. Call 330-758-3143 or 330-501-2104 to order or drive up to the back door, place your order and it will be delivered to your car.

FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

SUNDAY

Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in Sts. Cyril and Methodius church’s social hall, 252 E. Wood St., Youngstown, will be the site of a spaghetti dinner that comprises two meatballs, salad, bread and butter, cake, coffee or tea. Serving hours are from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Prices are $7 for adults, $4.50 for children 12 and under; 50 cents for each extra meatball, and 50 cents for pop or bottled water. Takeouts are available; containers are provided at no extra charge. Quarts of chicken noodle and potato dumpling soups as well as homemade anise and vanilla pizzelles will be available for purchase. Hosts are the Altar & Rosary Society.

St. Lucy Cultural Society of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish is sponsoring a cavatelli dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Palermo Center, 394 Tenney Ave, Campbell. Cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Buffet service and takeouts will be available. Take your own containers.

VFW Post 2799 Ladies Auxiliary will host a homestyle breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12. The menu comprises eggs, hash browns, sausage or ham, pancakes or freedom toast, toast and coffee or tea.

TAKING ORDERS

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, is taking orders for apple or cherry strudel for $10 each at 330-550-6628. Pickup will be from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Friday.
