Chamber to offer tourist event

COLUMBIANA

The Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce will host a First Friday Event, “Be A Tourist In Your Own Town” from 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 1 on South Main Street.

Local merchants will be open and will offer sidewalk sales and refreshments. First Presbyterian Church, 28 E. Park Ave., will host a quilt show, Main Street Theater will offer free bingo at 6:45 and a free family movie at 7:30. Imagine That! Daycare-Preschool will offer free face painting and a kids fun zone on the square, Grace Church, 140 S. Main St., will offer a tour and refreshments as it prepares to celebrate its 200th anniversary, and a Farmer’s Market will be available for fresh produce, pies, coffee and tea.

The Chamber is inviting local artists to participate by displaying/selling their artwork. Call the chamber office at 330-482-3822 from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday.
