Given antics of his predecessors, Obama is hardly worst president
Given antics of his predecessors, Obama is hardly worst president
I have read and seen on televi- sion the results of a recent poll that found the majority believed President Obama to be the “worst president” since World War II.
Let’s look at some postwar presidential facts.
Republican President Richard Nixon and his Vice President Spiro Agnew resigned from their offices just before impeachment and imprisonment.
Republican President Ronald Reagan had Iran-Contra, savings and loan crimes, Pentagon and HUD scandals that cost taxpayers millions of dollars.
Democratic President William Clinton’s escapades in the Oval Office cost taxpayers millions of dollars and resulted in no impeachment proceedings.
Republican President George Bush had Enron, Tyco, World Com, Abramoff, Madoff, and Scooter Libby and everyone went to jail. Not to mention the phony facts that led to the Iraq War, which cost trillions in dollars and thousands of American and Iraqi lives. These are facts.
All Obama and his administration want to do is feed the poor, heal the sick, extend unemployment benefits, guarantee equal pay for women, and fight fewer wars, which save us money and lives. And the people feel these are scandals and he is the worst president since 1945? The scandal is that Congress is thwarting his every effort.
The questions to be asked here are: How intelligent were these people (must have been Republicans) or what planet were they from?
