ASSOCIATIONS

Guilford Lake Civic Association will have its annual covered dish picnic at 4 p.m. July 20 at the state park public pavilion on Teegarden Road, on the north side of the lake. It is open to anyone living in the lake area. This year there will be a demonstration on paddle boards. Anyone attending should take a covered dish to share; hot dogs, beverages and table service will be provided. Prizes from the July 4 boat parade will be awarded.

CLASSES

CLUBS

Canfield Rotary will meet Aug. 8 and the speaker will be Kathy Tschiegg, founder and executive director of Central American Medical Outreach. She will talk about successes and challenges ahead for CAMO. Tshiegg, a former Peace Corps nurse, founded CAMO in 1993 after seeing the desperate conditions faced by people living in Honduras.

Mahoning Valley Retreads, a group of motorcyclists, will be meeting Saturday at Denny’s Restaurant, 4927 Mahoning Avenue, Austintown. Breakfast will be at 10 a.m., and the meeting will follow.
