What: Nothing’s better than spending a summer day in Ohio gardens of brightly colored flowers and green leaves galore. Starts with tour at local Draime Estate Gardens in Warren; then Western Reserve Conservancy in Moreland Hills; lunch; afternoon at Druckenbrod Daylily Farm and Kent Bog State Nature Preserve; dinner.

Beekeeping
When: Tuesday, 6 p.m.
What: Chuck Hatch from Zaney Pearl Farm will share methods, materials, benefits of beekeeping and how it could add value to your homestead, farm or garden.

BIRD BANDING WITH AL EIBEL
When: Saturday, 8 a.m.-noon.
What: See wild songbirds in the hand and learn why bird banding is an important tool for bird and wildlife conservation. Drop in any time between 8 and noon. Meet Al outside on the east side of Visitors Center. Banding will be cancelled in event of rain or shortened due to hot weather.

FULL MOON NIGHT HIKE
When: Saturday, 8 p.m.
What: Join naturalist for hike across preserve to see rising full moon, then trek back through forest in search of nocturnal wildlife.
Where: Huston-Brumbaugh Nature Center Visitors Center, 16146 Daniel St. NE, Minerva.
Cost: Free
Details: Dress appropriately for trail and weather conditions. Water and bug repellent suggested. Bring flashlight. Registration required by Friday; limited to age 10 and older.

RAIN BARREL WORKSHOP
When: Sunday, 2 p.m.
What: Make a rain barrel before the dryer months arrive. Materials will be provided. Instructions will be provided for installation at home.
Where: Huston-Brumbaugh Nature Center Visitors Center.
Cost: $25 per barrel.
Details: Registration limited and required. One barrel per family.
