Pa. man charged with attacking Good Samaritan
UPPER DARBY, Pa. (AP) — A Philadelphia area man has been arrested and charged with assaulting a neighbor who was trying to be a Good Samaritan by helping the man’s teenage daughter.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that 38-year-old Jeremy Davis of Upper Darby on Tuesday night kicked his 18-year-old daughter out of the house.
A neighbor took the girl in and the next morning confronted Davis as he was piling his daughter’s belongings in his yard and dousing them with lighter fluid.
Davis allegedly attacked the neighbor with a wooden board. The fire and police departments were called to the scene and several houses were evacuated as a precaution.
Davis was unable to post $50,000 bond. He’s charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and other charges.
