Ohio probation officer fatally shoots suspect

COLUMBUS (AP) — Columbus police say a county probation officer was wounded and a suspect was killed in a shooting.

Police told reporters it happened about 9:30 a.m. today in the southeast section of the city. The suspect was pronounced dead later at a hospital.

The Franklin County probation officer was hospitalized in undisclosed condition.

Names and other details haven’t been released.
