Samuelses celebrate 50th at reception

Terry and Marilyn Samuels of Poland celebrated 50 years of marriage on June 8 when family and friends joined the congregation of Trinity United Methodist Church in Youngstown for the worship service. As part of the service, The Rev. Jerry Krueger officiated at their vow renewal, and a reception followed in the great hall of the church.

Their children are Capt. Mark Samuels, his wife, Jennifer, and their three children, Kaitlyn, Danielle and Jake of Keller, Texas; and Lynn Samuels Dosky, her husband, Rick, and their children, Jillian, Luke and Noah of Westerville, Ohio.

The former Marilyn Siegel married Mr. Samuels on June 13, 1964, at Poland United Methodist Church.

Mr. Samuels was a teacher, principal and bus driver for Boardman Schools for many years. He also worked as an academic adviser in the athletic department of Youngstown State University.

Mrs. Samuels was a language arts teacher for Western Reserve Schools and tutored students with dyslexia at the Children’s Learning Center in Youngstown.
