Family dinner honors Porters for their 50th

CANFIELD

Richard and Janet Porter of Canfield celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 28 at a family dinner. The couple’s daughters and their families hosted the celebration.

They are Lee Ann Porter of Canfield; Kellie (Frank) Betsa and Kim Mills of Austintown; and Becky (Joe) Liguori of Chandler, Ariz.

The Porters also have 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Porter, the former Janet Scarsella, retired in 2009 as a teller for Dollar Bank in Youngstown. She is a member of The Movement church in Niles.

Mr. Porter worked for Youngstown Sheet & Tube and Youngstown Thermal in Youngstown and retired in 2006. He is an Army veteran who served from 1954 to 1957.

The Porters were married June 27, 1964, at St. Christine Church in Youngstown.
