Fire causes $10K damage to North Side vacant home

YOUNGSTOWN — A fire about 5:10 a.m. today caused $10,000 damage to a vacant 53 Saranac Ave. home on the North Side. Fire officials listed arson as the cause.

Reports said firefighters managed to get inside through a front door and confined the blaze to the back of the home and an attic.
