Melissa Haddle of Boardman and Paul Schmidt of Canfield exchanged vows at 1:30 p.m. May 17 at Western Reserve United Methodist Church. The Rev. Russ Adams officiated. A reception followed at the Byzantine Center at the Grove in Youngstown.

Dean and Marilyn Haddle of Austintown are the parents of the bride. Parents of the groom, known as Louie, are Paul and Carol Schmidt of Canfield.

The bride wore an organza gown featuring a sweetheart neckline and a chapel train.

Tiffany Joki was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Michelle Haddle, the bride’s sister; Michelle Sterchi; Kaylie Hebebrand; and Bethany Haddle, the bride’s cousin. The bride’s cousin Ashley Strom was junior bridesmaid. Madelyn Strom, also the bride’s cousin, was flower girl.

The attendants wore watermelon-pink dresses.

The groom’s brother, Matthew Schmidt, was best man. Groomsmen were Alan Dattilio, Kyle Kunkle, Joshua Shelley and Aaron Guzzo, the groom’s cousin.

After a wedding trip to Orlando, Fla., the couple reside in Boardman.

Mrs. Schmidt graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in public and community health.

Her husband graduated from New Castle School of Trades with a degree in combination welding. He works as a welder for Dearing Compressor and Pump in Youngstown.
