No seat belt on Edinburg man killed in crash

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — Police say an Edinburg man who was killed in a two-vehicle accident about 3:35 p.m. Wednesday was not wearing a seat belt.

New Castle Police said Robert McQuiston, 63, was driving west on West State Street near Jones Street when he lost control, crossed the center line and collided with a vehicle driven by 59-year-old Sherry Settle of New Castle that was heading east.

McQuiston died a short time later at Jameson Memorial Hospital, a news release said. Settle was treated for her injuries at Jameson. She was wearing a seat belt. The accident is under investigation.
