Man treated after fire destroys Youngstown home


YOUNGSTOWN

A man was treated for smoke inhalation after a fire about 6:40 a.m. Thursday that destroyed a 448 S. Pearl St. home.

Reports said a fire started in a wall on the first floor and moved to the second floor. Reports said the thermostat was in the part of the wall that burned.

The building’s owner said he would have an electrician check the building.

Damage is listed at $6,000 which is also the value of the building. An investigation is continuing.
